Maharajas’ Express, Asia’s most luxurious train, is now going to have Direct-to-Home Dish TV services in their guest cabins.
In a bid to facilitate live TV viewing on the move, the company will use mobile in venture satellite antennas fabricated by ‘Gilet’. Each passenger car will have a dedicated set top box allowing guests to watch live TV while travelling on board.
Commenting on their new venture with the operators of Maharajas’ Express, Salil Kapoor, COO, Dish TV said, “As a pioneer and market leader of the DTH Industry, it is indeed a proud moment for us to take TV entertainment to a completely unprecedented level by bringing the Live TV experience to one of the top 25 luxury trains in the world – ‘Maharaja Express’.

Dish TV first introduced its mobile train technology on the Palace on Wheels, Deccan Odyssey and the Golden Chariot in 2010 and with their services going to start on board Maharajas’ Express, Dish TV has covered the entire luxury train circuit.
