Built by Empress Nur Jahan, the Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah is often dubbed as ‘Baby Taj’. The father of Mughal Empress Nur Jahan, Ghias-Ud-Din Beg, served as the Chief Minister of the Emperor Jahangir. This site has a resemblance to other Mughal tombs. There are so many elements used in the construction of the Taj Mahal such as white marble, garden layout and inlay designs.
One of the most acclaimed heritage sites in India, Fatehpur Sikri was founded and built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. The deserted town exhibits some of the finest collection of indigenous Mughal architecture. The town is acclaimed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and combines various flavors of regional architecture with Islamic influences. Some remarkable structures in Fatehpur Sikri include Jama Masjid, Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and Anup Talao.
Taj Mahal personifies the world of eternal love and romance between Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The dance drama is set in the 16th century and portrays the lavish lifestyle of Mughal era. The highlight of the show is a replica of the Taj Mahal built with Makrana marble. It weighs around 8,500 kilograms and presents various moods and shades. The duration of the show is 80 minutes.
