If travelling and writing is what you enjoy, then you are in for a treat! This is your chance to set off on a journey filled with magnificent sights and incredible experiences.

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, in association with the tourist departments of the states of Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Karnataka, along with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC), have organized “The Great Indian Blog Train”.

This event will see 60 bloggers from around the world embark on a journey which showcases the splendor, magnificence and opulence of India’s past.

The Great Indian Blog Train

This journey will consist of four luxury trains, Palace on Wheels, Deccan Odyssey, Golden Chariot and Maharajas Express. These trains will take the bloggers on a 7N/8D journey across the finest historical destinations spread across India including Delhi, Goa, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

These are the most sought after tourist destinations in the country due to their heritage, history and culture. From the majestic forts and palaces of Rajasthan to the Ajanta and Ellora Caves in Maharashtra, you come across the rich and glorious past of India throughout this journey. The entire experience is embellished with the luxurious accommodations inside the luxury trains.

This highly awaited journey will commence on 7th, 10th and 19th February. To participate in the event, participants will be required to fill in the registration form along with the required details.

After the judging committee completes the evaluation of the details, the candidates will be selected for the second stage. In the second stage, the selected candidates will be required to submit a 2 minute introduction video (2 minutes max) along with a write-up consisting of 50-100 words in English, on “why you would want to visit India”.

The participants will have to verify that they possess a valid passport. All travel, medical insurance or visa fee will be covered by the participants.
