One of India’s leading luxury train, the Maharajas’ Express has once again received an award for the ‘Best Luxury Train’ by CNBC-AWAAZ travel awards for 2015. The award was presented by Honorable chief minister of Chhattisgarh, Sh. Raman Singh on 4th June 2015 in Raipur.

Maharajas’ Express has 14 carriages, each named after a precious stone. The train can accommodate around 80 guests and offers world class facilities to ensure a memorable experience of the guests.
The train creates a royal ambiance with its cabins and suites. All the cabins and suites of the train come with large panoramic windows that make all the guests enjoy the picture perfect landscape of India. Of all the suites, The Presidential Suite is the most luxurious one. The suite covers a complete carriage and is aptly named ‘Navratna’.

In a short period of time, Maharajas’ Express has got much success and has received a number of awards, including World Travel Awards for three consecutive years since 2012 in the category World’s Leading Luxury Train.
This leading luxury train, Maharajas Express runs on five itineraries – Gems of India, The Indian Panorama, Treasures of India, The Indian Splendor and The Heritage of India. These itineraries cover some of the most beautiful destinations of India including Jaipur, Udaipur, Gwalior, Bikaner, Sawai Madhopur, Jodhpur, Varanasi, Agra, Balasinor, Lucknow, Ajanta, Delhi and Mumbai.
Launched in the year 2010, Maharajas Express is owned and operated by the IRCTC, which is a subsidiary of the Indian Railways. The train was started with the only aim to make guests experience the Indian royalty in a royal ambiance and with heartwarming hospitality while they explore the beauty of Incredible India.
