IRCTC, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation and the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) have discussed a proposal for routing the seven-star super luxury train Maharajas Express through the newly formed state.
IRCTC CMD, A K Manocha, TSTDC Chairman Pervaram Ramulu and other officials met to discuss the proposal on Wednesday. The world’s seven star super luxury Maharajas’ Express travelling from Konkan to Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, is to be passing through Telangana state with halt at Secunderabad and Kazipet junctions.
Maharajas Express is a seven star luxury experience with numerous awards to its name. The lavish hospitality of the beautiful interiors, state-of the-art amenities and a pleasant experience is available for 84 guests at one time.
On its travel to Telengana, Maharajas’ express offers delicious platters of Continental, Chinese, Thai, Mughlai and Indian dishes and wine with local sight-seeing of important tourist places near by the halting places.
IRCTC also sought cooperation from Telangana Tourism and Culture Department and TSTDC for providing services such as local transportation (for local sight-seeing), accommodation, catering, entry tickets with tour escort services for groups which are booked by IRCTC for promoting tourism destinations of Basar, Warangal, Hyderabad and Bhadrachalam.
Also IRCTC on TSTDC’s request agreed to shortly run three-star luxury trains from Secunderabad to Shirdi, Goa and Tirupati with basic tariff structure of bus fares.
