It was the moment of tremendous pride for the internationally renowned The Maharaja Express as it bagged the illustrious “Seven Star Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Award” in Bali in Indonesia. In a gala function that held in the exotic island on 19th September, The Express, which offers luxurious, royal tours on at least five circuits which includes Agra and Varanasi, stepped up to receive the prestigious award in the assembly of distinguished guests.
The Maharaja Express beat some of the most acclaimed and well-known luxury trains across the world, which were contenders for the coveted award including the Rocky Mountaineer (Canada), The Deccan Odyssey (India), Rovos Rail (South Africa), and Ferrari World (Abu Dhabi) as well as Bali Food Safari and the Luxury Charter Yacht. The esteemed award which was launched in 2013 is conferred upon the nominee for the excellence in the field of hospitality.

It is truly a special award that will bolster the reputation of the train internationally.”
In addition to The Seven Star Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Award’s award, the train also has a special achievement of being voted as “The World’s Leading Luxury Train” at The World Travel Awards continuously for three years, i.e. in 2012, 2013, 2014.
The train has been rewriting the definition of luxury and opulence since its inception in 2010. The coaches, in addition to being supremely comfortable are redolent with all the upscale amenities including a live television, DVD player and Wi-Fi.
